And now for an iPhone square...

Been shooting a lot on my iphone and messing around with all the post-filters. I love the camera...filters, not so much. I haven't really found one I like that doesn't have too much of a gimmicky aesthetic. But maybe that's the point?

Passing on

Neil Searles passed away on Sunday, leaving behind dozens upon dozens of ducks, chickens, rabbits, turkeys, and other animals in his backyard. A local non-profit farm mainly a rescue farm for horses run completely by volunteers, came to pick up the animals and care for them until they find a new home. But first, they had to catch the animals.

New Hampshire

Today I realized that you can spend your whole life missing the little things that are in front of you. Today I call bullshit to that phrase, "The grass is always greener." It's a saying I used a lot. It was easy, a scapegoat. A way to write off a feeling of discontentment as something normal, natural and beyond my control.

Sports

I'm not much for posting sports on my blog anymore. It's not something I want to focus on as a photojournalist, but something that I still photograph heavily, working at a daily community newspaper. However, I photographed the state division I softball championship today featuring Concord High School (who lost) and liked this photo enough to post.
