Nicholas Richards, 7, swims underwater from his dad, Jim, towards the side of the pool Sunday afternoon at the Merrill Park pool. "It's a beautiful, sunny, Father's Day and we all decided to cool off," Jim said, who was at the pool also with his wife, Beth, and other son Will, 5. Area pools opened this weekend for the season.
