A Ray of Hope

I got called this morning to a fire in a neighboring township. Driving up to the home, it occurred to me that the house belonged to a family who took in a dog just about this exact time last year named, "Buddy," after the owner and neighbor was killed in a house fire just next door. After the fire was put out, the owners went back into the house in the hopes of salvaging some photographs that were under a bed.
