This weekend, the Midland Daily News photo staff, Ryan Wood, Nathan Morgan, and myself were in East Lansing for an interesting and inspiring time at Michigan Press Photographers Association. We came away with a few awards here and there, but the highlight was when our freelancer (pretty much another member of the staff he's around so much) was awarded the college photographer of the year for Michigan. MPPA POYI usually don't toot my own horn, but am excited that one of my main goals for 2009 was fulfilled!!
