Summer 2008 Plans

People have been asking what I'll be doing after graduation, so I thought I'd throw something up...as humbly as possible! I've accepted an internship at The Washington Times in Washington, D.C. this summer. I'm extremely excited to learn from the awesome photo staff of shooters and editors! This summer is going to be a very interesting time with the unpredictable election race and finally being on my own. I can't wait to work my ass off!!!!!!!!

More negs

Went to the photo lab to use the scanners, but I've got to figure something out about the dust and hair junk that never seems to go away no matter how many times I spray them off.

Can't Wait

I developed 10 rolls of film today from some time in Denmark and a trip to Berlin. I was pretty anxious to scan in the negs, but the lab was CLOSED today! Ugh. So, I used a macro and my lamp then inverted the file. It'll have to do until tomorrow. These were some trees on the Danish island of Møn in south east Denmark. And people, Amsterdam is not anywhere near Denmark. It's not even in the same damn country. Look at a map! Oh, and a stairway in a squat house in Berlin.

Artist

Portrait of local artist for an assignment I picked up the other day. I'm glad I was able to grab this gig because it brought me to this awesome building that houses art studios and seems like some cool people hang there.

Friendly Influence

As 2007 came to a close, I realized how important photo blogs have become. Everyday I go to over a dozen blogs and see what's new. Some people hate them, others like them. I have found that it's not only a way to share new work and be critiqued, but a way to keep in touch with friends and what they've been up to. So, I decided to compile a small list of friends who's blogs have influenced or inspired me from this past year. You can find a link to their blogs on the right.

These images are from the blogs of the people listed below.
In no particular order:
1. Emil Ryge
2. Hanne Hvattum
3. Brandon Kruse
4. Chris Detrick
5. Tonje Eliasson
6. Mango Fandango collective: Emil, Sara, Valdemar
7. Ben Reed
8. Ben Fredman
9. Jason Johns
10. Andrei Pungovschi
11. Parker Eshelman
12. Mark Murrmann
13. Mike Morones
If you're not on here but have a blog, please don't hate me.

It's nice to take a walk in the woods alone sometimes. Should have brought my snow shoes.
