Story on last minute Christmas shopping.

Teddy Bear

Two eleven year-olds raised money to purchase 22 teddy bears and brought them to the pediatric center at Mary Washington Hospital to give to children who had to stay in the hospital over Christmas. Unofrtunately, they weren't allowed to give them directly to the patients and had to leave them at the nurse's station.

Food for Donation

Two photos from another assignment today down in Fredericksburg. Steven Groth and his father have been donating food to the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank for a long time now. Today they donated over 500 lbs. of food for the holidays and gave a check.

Preschoolers

Today I photographed some preschoolers in Fredericksburg for a special Christmas Day feature. All they wanted to do was watch Polar Express and take a nap.

First video

Alright, so I caved and I did it. My first video. I shot this in 20 minutes for a last minute school assignment aimed to get us to try video focusing on a job profile. It took about an hour or 2 to edit. However, I think still photojournalism is the best. Honestly, "kids" these days don't go online to newspapers to watch videos. They go online to youtube and watch videos of sports, things exploding, people in pain, or just hilarious but dumb things in general. That's just a fact (for now at least.) But here it is folks, here's some future. I think I still want to give this a chance and see what happens. I just need to learn a lot more.
