Don't Start
Leave me alone, I don't want to hear it. My roommate is doing a review for the school magazine, interviewing a particular girl after she tests out the equipment pictured here. He asked me to do the photos, so I figured it was gonna be pretty ridiculous so agreed. I particularly like the light on the one all the way on the right.
An Outsider?
At the age of sixteen, Daniel was kicked out of his home and sent to a boarding school for a few years near the German border. After attempting suicide, he was taken to a psychiatric facility where he was soon released in a matter of days. For the past year, Daniel has been living in an apartment south of the city and defines himself as an activist, having been arrested twice, once during a protest and the second time for squatting at a local building. Any given day, seven to nine homeless teens can be found squatting in his one room apartment. They trade drugs and beer for a place to sleep. Having bounced in and out of different environments through his life, he feels the most at home with this group of friends, but doesn't know how long it will last. Mid-March he will appear in court to see if he is convicted of assaulting a police officer during a recent arrest. The charge carries a minimum sentence of sixty days in prison.

(To clarify the last photograph: he is not being imprisoned, he is going into the police station to pick up information about his hearing in March.)

So, I'm going to brag
I guess I just placed in Hearst. Kind of in shock, but it's real cool. Ninth place, who cares...it's still a place. I guess I'm doing something right now and again.

Friday Bar!
So my school has a bar in the basement and every Friday a lot of people from the school go. A lot of the schools around here have what has become known as 'Friday Bar.' Yesterday was the first Friday Bar of the semester and here are a few pics of my beautiful face and some friends. Classes end at 2 pm so students can go to the bar. We started drinking at 2 pm and stayed until about 9 pm then went to my apartment and partied before we hit the bars around 12:00 midnight. Wahoo!

Flash Assignment

So I'm really tired after a long day, so excuse the toning because it was done real quick. After a long day yesterday shooting and wandering, I came across a group of dudes playing street hockey in an old warehouse at the harbor. They meet every wednesday, sort of like this secret club away from their daily lives. I think I may try and do portraits or follow a few of them during their desk jobs and then when they play hockey during the week. Here are a few pics.

Ode to the Kebob
Oh man, kebobs are the greatest thing ever! I love em! They're like summertime in your mouth. They're cheap (sort of) and probably one of the best things ever. I don't know why I never had these back home! I'm quickly becoming poor because I spend all my money on beer and kebobs.

Can you say Sam Abell anyone?

WTF
WTF is going on in Boston? I'm ashamed and sad. What's happening to the world? It's a sad day in the country's history. Another teardrop in the rain of life.
02.01.2007
Just thought I'd post some pictures I took after class today. Just walked around and went to some shops and snapped a few along the way. Also, the first picture is of me on top of the city hall clock tower. I didn't bring my camera that day so my friend Dan took the photo (so it's not mine). The cathedral over my left shoulder is sort of the city center and from there things branch off...sort of. It's real cool. I'm moving to an apartment just beyond the cathedral and a block from the harbor.
