What a crazy day! It was freezing with relentless rain...yet awesome! I had a blast shooting the homecoming game. The main difference between that game and other football games I've shot were that I didn't have a long lens so didn't shoot any action. I was shooting for myself and so, did my own thing and it was 100 x more fun than being stuck behind a 400 with a narrow and monotonous view. I mainly roamed the sidelines with a 14 and a 20-35. Yeah, so I didn't get any huge key players, but the sports about a team anyways and I go for the underdog. The other players were on TV.
It's been a few weeks since I've shot and it felt great to get out there today. Just a baseball scrimmage, half the team vs. the other half. Pretty fun.
The idea was there, but I'm not happy with the execution. May take going back a few times to get...or I may just not do it because it's been done really well by Chris Detrick and I don't like to copy.
Felt really good to shoot something again. Haven't shot in a while and I just met up with Jake to continue working on his story about Ultimate Fighting. He fights this weekend in a caged match...that is, if they can find him an opponent. This is the last fight I will shoot until I understand more about life outside the gym!
For you dudes who keep checking this blog, I've just updated my website and am still working on adding/editing some things. But it's pretty much good to go. check it out at the same address: jtully.com.
