Went to the Steelers training camp in Latrobe, Pa. It's about 3 hours from Harrisburg. It was a story about the fans and not for sports so I didn't worry about the training itself, even though I did shoot it. Got yelled at by some dude...I think it was the AP photographer, because I was in a spot he wasn't. I sat up on a hill and tried to go places that the other photographers weren't. Then I worked my way up to a main area where I was told I could be. He saw me as I was walking down and said, "You just love breaking the rules don't you," in this asshole tone. I said, "I was allowed to be up there, a woman opened the gate for me and let me in." SO, if he were in that spot he wouldn't complain. And even if I knew I wasn't supposed to be there...which I didn't...if someone in charge is letting me stay, I'm going to stay. Wouldn't you? That's our job right? to get in spots where others are not. And me photographing from the spots I did wasn't threatening any other photographer or their right to photograph the training camp.
