Closet

Another portrait to go with the Feature story about the oldest thing found in women's closets. This woman found a pair of shoes and a disco dress. They fit her when she was 16, but not now.

Lacrosse

I shot district semi-finals for lacrosse and it was tons of fun. I'm beginning to like shooting sports.

Baseball

Some stuff I shot at baseball. Kind of stunk up the place with my shooting. Just wasn't on the ball and was missing moments. Big bummer. And only the first two ran...I posted the second two because I liked them, but not for the paper.

Portrait

Had to do this one on an instant because I guess the other photographer who was going to shoot this was on another assignment or something. It's for a section about what people find in their closets. This lady found these 25 year old pair of jeans and a pair of shoes she had since 8th grade.

Memorial Day

Al Kern pauses at the Ashland Cemetery after placing flags on the graves of veterans.

Memorial Day Parade

Images from a Memorial Day Parade. Probably the best assignment so far, besides the 70th anniversary one.

70 years together

Assignment about a couple who just celebrated their 70th anniversary.

Soccer

Shots from soccer district finals. I shot wide one time because I didn't have a long lens and the other time because I liked those lights. Went with another photographer who was assigned to cover the game, so I fooled around.

Washington Band

The Washington Band is turning 150 this year. Not too happy with these, but I guess they work.

Portraits

Yeah, so there goes my originality. Haha, just kidding, but I did mimic this idea from Martin Schoeller's images of famous people from his book and awesome work "Close Up." Kind of just wanted to see if I could do it, and still it's not as good, and spice up what would be mug shots. And there is a little photoshop involved to pop out the face. I don't consider this photojournalism and would never consider doing this in anything journalism.

Portrait

Portrait of my friend Josh. I saw a book with sweet lighting and portraits so I decided to try it out.
